What circumcision method is used at your clinic?
At the Gentle Procedures Clinic, we practice the Pollock Technique™, proven safe and effective in over 80,000 procedures. The Shang Ring technique is also employed in older clients when our doctors judge that method to be appropriate. We use these techniques because they provide a quick and virtually painless experience, with a high-level of the patient satisfaction and low complication rates.
We are offering circumcision for babies (up to 1 year of age) and men (aged 16 and up) using the same safe technique.
For full detail on our circumcision method using the Pollock Technique™ please see the Circumcision Method page.
Dr. Jason McMahon and Dr.Emmet Kerin are the only certified provider of Pollock Technique™ circumcision in Ireland.
Is the procedure covered with a GMS Medical Card?
No. There is currently no facility for medical card coverage.
How much will it cost for circumcision?
The circumcision cost for infants up to two months of age is €500, and fees increase for older babies.
The pricing for men is higher, and we recommend first booking a consultation appointment if you are a man aged 16 and over considering circumcision.
How should we prepare for the procedure?
We will speak with you to confirm on how to prepare for the circumcision. For infants we recommend feeding your son before coming in for the procedure and bringing along extra nappies.
We will also have you give him infant paracetamol. This will be reviewed with you in detail, and you can ready more about the steps before your boy’s circumcision on the Our Method page.
